Talk About Everything. Be Known for Nothing.

Be known for something.

Why a brand fits

Make the fit clear

Editorial framework. Not creator performance data.

If your audience cannot explain what you are about, why should a brand be able to? Posting more subjects does not automatically create more opportunities. It can make your value harder to see.

At EmpireX, we believe commercial strength starts with clarity: who you are, who you speak to and what people can rely on you for. You can have range. You still need a point of view.

Be easy to describe

Write one sentence: “I create [content] for [audience], with [perspective].” Make it specific. “Authentic lifestyle content” could describe thousands of accounts.

Then ask a regular viewer to describe your content without seeing your answer. If the descriptions are far apart, your positioning is not yet showing up consistently.

Choose what belongs on your feed

Give your content a few clear pillars. Each should serve the same audience and reflect something you genuinely care about. Your personality connects them.

Do not post a subject simply because a brand has budget in that category. A partnership should make sense inside the identity you are building, not replace it.

IN PRACTICE

Consider the difference: “accessible travel for people using their annual leave” is a perspective. “Travel, lifestyle and everything else” is a list.

Make your audience part of the pitch

Your media kit needs more than a total following. Include dated demographics, geography and examples of what viewers engage with. Show why those people are relevant to the brand.

A brand needs to explain its decision to spend. Help it see the connection between its product, your audience and your content. Do not make it assemble that argument itself.

Say no with a strategy

Define the products, claims and categories you will not promote. Boundaries protect trust and make partnership decisions faster. Taking every available deal is not the same as building a coherent business.

Talent management should sharpen your positioning and use it to identify aligned opportunities. The goal is not to make you suitable for every brief. It is to make the right brief recognise you.

The EmpireX perspective

A clear creator identity gives a partnership somewhere to belong. EmpireX connects talent management, brand partnerships and content distribution so the commercial conversation starts with your audience and the work you already do, not a brief that asks you to become someone else.

Common questions

Will choosing a niche stop me from evolving?

No. A clear point of view can evolve with you. Explain changes to the audience and test related topics rather than treating your identity as fixed forever.
